Moments With: Gloria Muliro
Gloria Muliro is a Kenyan Gospel singer who currently lives in Nairobi, Kenya. She was born to peasant parents David Omale and Esther Muliro on April 1, 1980. She grew up in her homeland, Vihiga County in Western Kenya. She is the fourth child among seven siblings. Having been born in a musical family, Gloria quickly adapted to singing as a child. Gloria’s first baby steps was singing in her church's choir. She also became a member of the praise team in 2001, when she now decided to delve into serious singing. Every December, as is typical with Kenyan Christmas Season, She and her siblings would sing in the choir competitions held in churches every year. In 2005, she launched her first song Omwami Aletsa, which saw her skyrocket her fame as a gospel singer. Since then, several of her songs have taken Kenya and beyond by storm.
