Boybreed is a Nigerian Afro-pop and dancehall duo composed of identical twin brothers Chibuzor Franklyn Amajuoyi and Nnamdi Kennedy Amajuoyi. They are singers, songwriters, producers and graphic designers. Best known for their hit single, Slowly, which also featured Popular Nigerian reggae dancehall singer, Patoranking. Raised in Surulere, Lagos state, the twins who originally hail from Mbaise local government in Imo state, developed a keen interest in music at a very young age, listening to Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s collection, Backstreet Boys, Sade Adu, Bob Marley, among other artists. Formally signed to Bovibes Entertainment in 2013, they left the company in September 2018 upon expiration of their contract and are currently Independent. On the 9th of August 2015, Boybreed was nominated and won the Best Upcoming Act Category at the Nigerian Teens Choice Awards (NTCA). They featured on a cover of Rihanna´s hit single, BBHMM by producer Reflex Soundz in 2015, which has since recorded over a million streams on Spotify. They also featured on their first international collaboration with Sony Music & South African duo, Saint Danger on the track ‘Lemme Know’ in 2018. Boybreed recently released their debut EP titled “Made in the Tropics” in August 2019 and have since also featured on Nigerian ace producer E kelly´s debut EP “No Secrets” alongside Mr Eazi, Joeboy, King Perryy and Minz, amongst other achievements.
