Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus (Born May 21, 1997) is an Afropop singer who hails from Ogun state, Nigeria. As the last born in a family of 4, Joeboy grew up a shy kid who was raised in a religiously inclined household. Through the influences of his musically inclined parents and older brother as well as the unique sounds of the Nigerian church, Joeboy absorbed the cocktail of sonics and unwittingly tapped into the musicality surrounding him.
At the age of 18, Joeboy started actively working on his music, albeit privately, till he gathered the courage to actively put himself out there which was when his cover of Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You caught the attention

Since gaining recognition following the release of his hit single ’ Baby’ which was followed up with consecutive hit singles ‘Beginning’ and ‘Don’t call me Back ft. Mayorkun’, Joeboy has risen in status and level to become one of Africa’s leading talents and global exports.
