Garey Godson real names Oghenegare Anighoro is a Nigerian Born Artist and Record Producer based in Berlin. He moved to Germany in 2015 for his masters studies and decided to stay back to explore the emerging afro-fusion scene. Asides’ successfully headlining shows across Germany, Garey has also performed in some of Europe’s biggest festivals like Sputnik Spring Break.
He describes his music as Afro-Fusion a liberating and forward way for young Africans to express their artistic creativity. Sonically this genre blends African rhythms with rnb, dancehall and trap elements. In 2020 he released his album “Still I Rise” independently. The project was positively reviewed and generated over 2 million streams across music stores. He also collaborated with Nigerian Hip Hop duo Show Dem Camp on the lead single Koko which rocked airwaves on local radio stations as well as abroad.
