Christia Visser, born in Cape Town, South Africa, made her debut as a professional actress on stage in 2013 at the KKNK and Aardklop Arts Festival. In 2014 she appeared in her first professional film ‘Ballade vir ‘n Enkeling’ and also received a People’s Choice and Silver Screen Award for her lead role in ‘Hollywood in My Huis’. In 2019 she tackles her second love, music, releasing her first single and music video ’17 Shots’. She immediately got the Afrikaans music industry buzzing and became a huge fan favourite with this Gold Award hit. Hits such as ‘Die Deur’, ‘Kaal Voor Jou’, ‘Kaapse Blou’ and her first full album ‘Gemaklik Verlore’ follows, and it is no surprise that she has already been nominated for a SAMA Award.
