Øbed is a Ghanaian artist creating music from the heart of the capital Accra. He is a singer, multiple instrumentalist and a self taught music producer and audio engineer.
At the young age of 6, his father taught him to play the piano. From a heavy christian background, he played the keyboards in church where he developed a musical ear and occasionally picked up the bass and lead guitars.
He developed an interest for soul, funk and jazz music and would spend hours studying legendary jazz pianist Herbie Hancock and American Keyboardist and record producer Robert Glasper.
